Things like bioluminescent algae that twinkle along the seascape can poison sea life from fish to sea turtles and can make humans very sick if they come into contact with it, so swimming is not advised. 2.) Any of those organo mercury compounds are freaking frightening. Knowing all this, it is no wonder Ricin has been studied as an option for chemical warfare by everyone from the United States military to Al-Qaeda. The difference between venom and poison is how the toxin gets into a body. The pressure in the vacuum chamber is unrelated to the ionization type witness the fact that atmospheric pressure ionization methods like electrospray can be interfaced with mass specs like TOFs that need very good vacuums (<10e-8 torr). It means that a substance can produce the harmful effect associated with its toxic properties only if it reaches a susceptible biological system within the body in a high enough concentration (i.e., dose). 2015. Can You Eat Sturgeon and How Does It Taste?

Furthermore, mushrooms tend to glow on a cycle, much like human bodies are regulated by the circadian rhythm.

Inhaled or ingested cyanide, used as a method of execution in gas chambers, or as a suicide method, almost instantly starves the body of energy by inhibiting the enzymes in mitochondria that make ATP. By the principle of entropy, chemical contamination is typically costly or infeasible to reverse, unless specific chelating agents or micro-filtration processes are available. The scientific disciplines of ecology and environmental resource management study the environmental life cycle of toxic compounds and their complex, diffuse, and highly interrelated effects. As if fungi could get any cooler with their bizarre shapes, colors, and quirks, some can even glow in the dark. It gets its name from the red latex it oozes when damaged. Although poisons have been the subject of practical lore since ancient times, their systematic study is often considered to have Gak theres a phrase that takes be back a lot of years; we worked with atmospheric pressure ionization (APCI on Sciex instruments) for years before John Fenn thought of applying electrospray to mass spec. They appear like tiny white palm fans or ping-pong paddles (hence its common name), usually in large clusters.
